Back when I had my ‘68 Dodge A-100, I drew up these pictures in Illustrator to serve as a guide for the changes I had in store for her. The colors paid tribute to one of the most iconic paint schemes ever: the orange and pale blue Gulf livery, which made it’s debut just a year before this van rolled off the assembly line. Though the livery appeared first on a Ford GT40, for me it will always be remembered best on the curvy Porsche 917 Steve McQueen drove in his film Le Mans.

The Work of Denis Sire
Frenchman Denis Sire’s passion for illustrating chicks and bikes is probably only matched by his love for drawing chicks and cars. He was born in 1953 in Saint Nazaire, and studied art in Paris at ‘L’Ecole des Arts Appliqués. His style is reminiscent of all those glorious washed out advertisements which were so prevalent decades ago, and his work can be seen stateside in such illustrious places as Heavy Metal Magazine and Playboy.

“Snake Charmer” by Granda
The latest piece I’m working on is called “Snake Charmer”.
