Frazetta Friday – Ep. 14

April 25, 2014 by Tim Granda

DC-tiny-wedge Clawing it’s way up through the muck and grime comes yet another brutal episode of Frazetta Friday!

Though this installment lacks the generous amounts of Frazetta booty you’ve grown accustomed to, you will be knocked senseless once again by the Death Dealer! Joining him are the legendary creatures King Kong and Gollum, along with some pissed off reptiles and a whole lot of warriors looking to kick your ass.

Dirty Donny’s “Blacklight Rebellion”

April 17, 2014 by Tim Granda

DC-tiny-wedge Artist Dirty Donny has finally released this super rad piece I’ve been dying to get my hands on: “Blacklight Rebellion”. It’s limited to just 100 18×24″  blacklight screened prints on 130 pound stock paper, and they’re all signed and numbered by the man himself. And I gotta say, his nod to the classic “Hell’s Fury” blacklight poster is just too fucking cool! Awesome, DD!

If his last print “Wizards” is any indication, these are going to go fast so ya better jump on it quick. You can grab ’em right from Donny’s new shop at JSR Direct (note: his site is still down so make sure you follow that link I just gave ya). And if any of you would be so kind as to will me your print when you head to that big highway in the sky, I’d greatly appreciate it (I’m so damn broke right now haha!).

Burney’s Blow Out Sale!

April 11, 2014 by Tim Granda

DC-tiny-wedge The artist Burney has just announced that everything in his store is 40% off! He’s clearing the shelves for all new stuff so everything must go! There’s two promo codes available that you’ll need to enter at the checkout, depending on what you’re buying: if you’re grabbing shirts enter “gimmethatshirt” and if you want some prints enter “imawinner”.

Burney’s got a bunch of rad stuff in there for you to grab, including a limited edition print of his awesome piece “Vanner Kaiju”. Burney describes it as a “blasphemous orgy of ink”, and the 50 signed prints that are available are screen printed on 19″x25″ speckletone craft by Sanctuary Printshop out of Austin, Texas. If you’d rather rock “Vanner Kaiju” on your back, he also has it available on a sweet black hoodie.

Also in the store is his classic illustration “Exhumed”, which is one of the greatest pieces of motorcycle art ever created. It’s available for the first time as a 3” x 3.5” die cut sticker, and Burney suggests you “stick it on every phone pole, bus bench and cop car you come in contact with.”  Another cool item is the debut of his “Batdog” logo on a black Anvil t-shirt, which he suggests would be perfect for “all your bbq’s , work meetings , and funerals!”  If that weren’t enough Burney also has some 1″ “Burney Buddons” for sale, which you grab individually or bundled together in a pack with the “Exhumed” sticker.

Stop by his store today and load up on some really killer stuff that’s dirt cheap! And don’t forget to check out the Doom Cycle interview with Burney once you’re rockin’ all that sweet gear!

Two Rad Shows This Weekend!

April 2, 2014 by Tim Granda

DC-tiny-wedge Whether you’re in Columbus or London this weekend, you have two really rad shows to check out!

The first is Tanks For The Good Times – Preview Show, which is a wild gas tank art show happening this Saturday at 6pm over at the Milk Bar Boutique (765 Unit A North High Street., Columbus, Ohio). It sounds like they’ve had so many contributors this time around that they’ve had to split it into two events: the Milkbar will be featuring a preview of the full show, which will be going down this year at Pinned on May 17th. The preview show is free, and there’s an after-party at Kobo (2590 N High St, Columbus, OH) for only $5 bucks. In addition to the full show at Pinned, expect Bikes + Bands + Booze +Babes so you ain’t gonna wanna miss it!

The second is The Colour Series, presented by Skull&Heart at Brick Lane Gallery Annexe 93-95 Sclater St. E1 6HR. It runs from today the 2nd, through the 7th, from 10am to 6pm. Expect to see a ton of killer screenprints from a slew of talented folks, including Horsebites, Tom J Newell, and Palehorse! If you can make it there on the 3rd between 5-8:30pm,  Newell is going to be one of the dudes doing some live drawing during the opening party!

DC-tiny-wedge Hell yea! Night Watch #5 is out, and the the theme for this one is puke! This time out Night Watch is wrapped up with a front cover by Gunsho, and a back by Gut Rot, and if the quality of work these cats put forth is any indication, this is going to be the best issue to date! As of this writing, all issues come with a free sticker by artist Tom J. Newell! Too damn cool!
