Hyperion Paintings by Maxwell Paternoster

December 9, 2013 by Tim Granda

DC-tiny-wedge A series of five exclusive paintings are available by Maxwell Paternoster, the artist behind Corpses from Hell.

The paintings are 21cm x 29.5cm on a paper that is 28cm wide x 38cm high, hand painted using acrylic paint and black ink. Also featuring 22 ct gold leaf details.

Based on Maxwell´s DicE Magazine cover, each image has slight variations (only slight!), making it unique. They are signed and numbered by the artist.

The paper used is top quality 300gm LANA watercolor paper, made from 100% cotton fibers. Acid free with an alkali reserve, no optical brighteners and an anti-mould coating, make this one of the most age resistant papers available.

The brilliance, intensity, and shine of watercolor on this paper are one of life’s little pleasures.

Paternoster’s Limited CFH Screen Print

December 6, 2013 by Tim Granda

DC-tiny-wedge Just caught this on the Corpses From Hell MG blog: they’re offering five, that’s right, only FIVE signed and numbered tracker screen prints by Maxwell Paternoster. You’ve seen his unmistakable subversive style on everything from DicE covers to that cool packing box from Lowbrow you haven’t the heart to throw away. They’re hand-printed on 300gm Lana watercolor paper, and they just might look better hanging on your wall than that box would.

DoomCycle.com Collage – “Built Upon the Past”

December 6, 2013 by Tim Granda

DC-tiny-wedge Spent the evening putting together this collage for the site’s background. Here’s what it looks like before I tone it down. The idea behind it was to show how today’s scene is built upon the past. It would make a pretty cool desktop, no?

Adam Knickle’s “D” Series

December 4, 2013 by Tim Granda

DC-tiny-wedge Australian Adam Knickel’s latest “D” series is quite different than the nose to the page mid-century illustration style he’s known for (DicE, Deus Ex Machina, Born Free, Born Loser), but the pieces are equally appealing. The influence of Akira creator Katsuhiro Otomo immediately comes to mind, and the moments captured in these wonderful images are those we’ve all experienced while building bikes. Stop by his site and grab a few prints before your brothers buy them up!
