Some of you might dig this: it’s my copy of Heavy Metal Magazine’s very first issue. But what makes this particular copy so cool, and one of my most prized possessions, is that it’s signed by the artist Moebius.

A Year Without Moebius
Has it really been that long since the world lost Moebius? One of these days I’ll have to post a photo of the time I came face to face with a god (and include the drawing he bestowed upon me).
Moebius didn’t draw too many motorcycles, but when he did it was like a lightning bolt. Here’s a pair from your humble narrator, and a few more pics ’cause they’re cool…
“Snake Charmer” by Granda
The latest piece I’m working on is called “Snake Charmer”. It continues my pursuit to capture the spirit of my childhood idols, consisting mainly of Richard Corben, Frank Frazetta, Boris Vallejo, Moebius, Tanino Liberatore, and a slew of other artists featured in the first ten glorious years of Heavy Metal Magazine.
